Meatball Pasta
Indulge in flavorful meatballs and al dente spaghetti, enhanced by a robust tomato sauce and Parmesan garnish.
Ingredients

259g of cooked spaghetti

1 (400g) can of tomato puree

1kg of truss tomatoes diced

2 cloves of garlic

1 small onion, diced

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

2 tablespoons sugar

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/4 cup parmesan

Pre-made meatballs

Basil for garnish

Method

To make a delicious meatball pasta dish, start by heating some olive oil in a big pot over medium to high heat. Add your choice of raw meatballs, whether they are store-bought or pre-made, and cook them for 5 minutes. Then, add some chopped onions and garlic and cook everything together for another 5 minutes.

Next, remove the meatballs and onions from the pan and let them rest while you add the remaining ingredients to the pot. Let everything simmer for 20 minutes. Once done, add the meatballs and onions back into the pot and let them simmer for an additional 10 minutes.

While your meatballs and sauce are cooking, cook your pasta in a separate pot of boiling water until it reaches the desired texture of al dente. Make sure to reserve half a cup of pasta water, which can be used if needed later.

To serve, place the cooked pasta onto plates and spoon the meatballs and sauce on top. Garnish with some fresh basil and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top if desired. Serve hot, and enjoy!
